DROH - the story
"Several years ago, my wife had breast cancer and had a mastectomy. Following the operation wearing a seatbelt became extremely uncomfortable. This insight then led me to notice how many other people found seatbelts uncomfortable, and indeed, many people do not wear them correctly because of this.
The main issue with a traditionally designed seatbelt is how
the belt cuts across the chest; however, it is not just women who find seatbelts uncomfortable."

With a background in mathematics and a career transition from actuary to teacher, our Chief Operations Officer brings a unique perspective to DROH DESIGN. Passionate about safety and innovation, they have firsthand experience with the discomfort of traditional seat belts. As Elllie puts it, "My dad is spot on about seatbelts. I never wear mine correctly, always under my arm. I know this is dangerous, but I just hate the way the belt feels over my chest." This personal insight has driven the development of our revolutionary seat belt raiser, which they proudly affirm "works brilliantly."

With a First in Physics and Astro Physics, our Chief Technical Director brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to DROH DESIGN. Transitioning from a career as a teacher to a nuclear engineer, they have played a pivotal role in the development of our innovative seat belt raiser. Reflecting on the design process, they share, "My dad is absolutely correct about people hating how seatbelts cross over their chest. His first designs were terrible and simple physics told us they would not work. However, the current design is a masterpiece because it works so smoothly with any seatbelt." Their technical acumen and dedication have been instrumental in creating a product that enhances both safety and comfort for all users.
